Rheumatrex - Methotrexate

Rheumatrex, also known as methotrexate, is indicated for the treatment of several disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, leukemia and trophoblastic neoplasms. The medication belongs to a class of drugs known as antimetabolites, which slow the growth of certain cells in a user's body. Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1953, Rheumatrex is made by Lederle Laboratories.
Potential side effects of Rheumatrex include, but may not be limited to, loss of weight and appetite, acne, fatigue, thinned hair, nausea, headache, dizziness and blurred vision.

Rheumatrex has been linked to lymphomas, skin disorders, infections, bone damage and liver, lung and kidney disorders. Only experienced physicians familiar with the effects of Rheumatrex should prescribe the medication. Improper prescribing of Rheumatrex or the failure of a physician to closely monitor a patient on the drug can result in medical malpractice.

See your doctor if you are suffering from Rheumatrex side effects. In addition, it may be important to contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be time limits within which you must commence suit.
